Safe from the world
We break into a tropical forest. In this wild country with
lush vegetation that seems to have escaped the attention of men, the artist
found his place among the wild beasts.
She seems surprised playing with her "sisters"
black panthers. Surprise, suspicion, curiosity and hostility of the
protagonists express themselves on the canvas.
What will become of this sanctuary remained untouched until
then?
We think of John Boorman's "Emerald Forest" where
human greed is pushing back the limits of the forest, "the edge of the
world," as the natives call it.
